Creating Memories

Hello, me again. This time last week I was at the photography show in the NEC. The show was amazing and there was so many amazing products to buy. One of the products I bought was the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8. The camera shoots and prints the image straight away (a bit like a old fashioned Polaroid).

I am a very nostalgic person and love looking at old photographs, talking about old anecdotes and watching home videos. Therefore I felt this camera was perfect to capture mini snippets of life.

Even though I've had this camera for a week, I've loved finding something interesting to take a photo of and sticking it down into a journal and writing about it.

The journal was from Leekes (a garden centre) and was around £6 for any one wondering. I thought the book was gorgeous and I thought it was a great way of remembering my teens.

Hope everyone is having a great week and i'm uploading a new video every tuesday.

February Favourites

I have been away for a while but want to start blogging again. Today I will be sharing my February favourites. I've started doing Youtube videos again as  I really enjoyed it but unsure if people would watch. So here's a video on this blog post.

Anyway onto the post.

OPI Suzi's Hungary Again and Barry M Pink Indescent
I've been using this nail combo for the past few weeks as it's so girly and reminds me of Barbie. I feel it would be so beautiful for spring and I love pink. I love OPI nail polishes but they are so expensive.

 Primark Gold Chain
I bought this last month for around £1.50-£3.00 from Primark. I'm so happy I bought it as I hate wearing jewellery but I love putting this under the collar of my blouses.

Mac Soft and Gentle Mineralise Skin Finish
I love this. It is the perfect highlight as it isn't orange or it isn't too sparkly. It gives you a lovely glow. It's slightly overpriced but worth it.

 Along Came Betty BR-WOW
I saw this in Tesco the other week and at £1.50 I thought I would give it a whirl. I absolutely love it. I use the lighter shade on the left. I then use the wax on the bottom left to make my brows more precise and the translucent powder to set them. This kit is perfect if you are looking for something cheap and especially if you have lighter brows.

Bourjois  Chocolate Bronzer
I found this bronzer the other week and it smells delicious. I have the lighter shaded one as I am very pale but I love the matte finish. It deffo smells of chocolate!

Maybeline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold
I love these colour tattoos. They aren't a bad price for the quality (£4.99 each). I have a few and this is my fave. I have the naked 3 palette which is full of pinky tones and this is great as a base.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ulta Lipstick in Petal
This is a higher end lipstick and I love it. The finish is nice and shimmery. The colour is a lovely pinky nude and goes with everything. However it's very pricey lipstick and there are better quality ones on the high street.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in Warm Ivory
The other day I had a Bobbi Brown makeup lesson. It was some of the best customer service i've ever received. The women recommended this foundation for my skin type and even though it's pricey my skin looks so much nicer. I've paired it with my next favourite which is the Bobbi Brown creamy concelear kit. Together these products look amazing.
(I can't work out how to rotate the photos, sorry).

Hopefully my next blog post won't take this long. See you soon.

Naked 3 Palette Review

I feel like every time I write a blog post it's about how sorry I am... wooops.

Anyway Merry Christmas and Happy new year. Today I am going to be writing about the very anticipated Naked 3 Palette by Urban Decay. I have previously bought the Naked 2 palette and I absolutely love it, its so gorgeous and filled with the perfect nudes. As I loved it so much, I decided to go out and buy the Naked 3 Palette.

Firstly the packaging on the Naked 3 is divine. It is a ruffled rose gold coloured case. It stills has the same font as the other Naked palettes. All of the Naked Palettes (there is 3) contain a small gift, this one is no exception. On the first Palette there was a small tube of Urban Decay's primer potion, on the second Palette there was a small tube of an Urban Decay lipgloss and on this Palette there was 4 or 5 small testers of their variety of primer potions. This palette also contains a brilliant double sided brush.

The cost of these Palette's is £37 each. Which may seem pricey but is actually a very good deal. I bought the Naked 2 Palette in April 2012 and it is in perfectly good shape and none of the shades have hit pan even though i've used it everyday. If we compare the palette to MAC eyeshadows(which retail at £10 each) then this palette is an amazing deal.

The colours on the Naked 3 are rose colours (pink toned). For me this is perfect as pink really goes with my blue/green shaded eyes however on some people these shades may seem like they have a disease called pig eye..oops. Basically what i'm trying to say is these tones may not suit everyone and it may be better to go for the Naked 2 palette which is all nude browns.

However these shadows are super duper pigmented, They last all day are are amazing shades. I personally love the shades dust, burnout, buzz and trick. There is a variety of matte shades and shimmery shades, which I really enjoy.

These shadows look brillant when you use them with the Urban Decay Primer Potion, which makes the shadow last all day.

I would highly recommend this product if you want a eye shadow that will stay on all day and brighten up your eyes, if you don't think this product will suit you, I recommend investing in the Naked 1 or Naked 2 palette.

Next week I will be uploading a Naked 3 Palette tutorial so stay tuned.

Recent Favourites
I don't really know how to start this blog post however I thing a apology would be a good start.
IM SORRY!!! I haven't done a beauty blogpost for a whole month. I have missed it terribly and feel ever so bad about it although I pinky promise I will post more frequently from now on.

I am also considering to start making Youtube videos as I my communication skills are sooo much better than my writing skills. However I feel I would get bullied to eternity by my pals sooo maybe not.

Anyway Enough of my pointless rambling... Today I am going to show you my recent favourites. I would call this my October Favourites however its the middle of November so its a tad late. This month I haven't done much makeup shopping although i've used some new products.

MUA- Heaven and Earth Palette
I absolutely love wearing eye shadow, I really think it makes you look amazing. Although eye shadow can be really expensive and I don't have enough money for luxurious eye shadow. I bought this palette a couple of weeks ago and it only costs £4, yes you read correctly it only costs £4. If im completely honest with you it is incredible, it not only gives you a natural smokey eye but it lasts ages. A lot of bloggers/ beauty gurus have said its a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palettes which retail at around £30.00. Therefore this product is incredible. It can be purchased only at Superdrug.

Mac Eyeshadow- Omega
There is nothing worse than a blonde girl drawing her eyebrows in with a eyebrow pencil waaaay too dark for her hair colour. I would know i've been there (insert awful example here)
To be fair to myself this isn't that bad however those brows are buzzing. Anyway to solve this hideous problem I have a bought myself the Omega eye shadow by Mac which was recommended by a number of beauty gurus. I didn't realise that you could use a eyeshadow to fill in your brows but apparently its legal. It looks sooo natural and I would highly recommend it if you have fair hair. Even though it is slightly pricey, I would recommend it.

Mac Lipstick- RiRi Woo
If i'm 100% honest I am not the biggest fan of Rihanna. However she has recently launched a makeup collection with mac and it is divine. As you are aware (if you've read my previous blog posts that is) I am obsessed with lipstick (especially red). Therefore when my dad visited America last month I asked him to pick up her lipstick RiRi Woo. I love it, it is the perfect red for me and its amazing. However it is very similar to Russian Red by mac but I still love it.

Primark Shirts
I am going to put my hands up and admit it, I am a Primark Snob. I absolutely HATED Primark with a passion. I hated going in there, I hated the smell, I hated the clothes, I hated the material of the clothes and I hated the scruffiness of it. I just hated it. However on my recent trip to London I visited the one on Tottenham Court Road and I actually survived a whole half an hour in there. I don't really know what came over me, I found clothes I liked, I didn't want to throw up every two seconds and I didn't feel like cleaning the place up. I found some really lovely shirts in Primark, which were only £11 each. I think they are really nice for the price and even though the material on them isn't the best, they aren't too bad.

Benefit- Boing Concelear
When I first started wearing makeup, I remember I didn't used to wear foundation, I only wore this. I've obviously re-purchased it since then however I didn't wear it for a while. Recently i've been using it a lot as a base for my foundation and its been hiding spots and blemishes really well and I have really been enjoying wearing it. I know its slightly pricey however it's worth it. I've nearly ran out aswell ooooops.

Shower Gel- Vanilla and Raspberry
If you could imagine heaven in a bottle, it would be this shower gel. I cannot even express how delicious this shower gel smells, I really wish you all could smell it through the screen but no technology isn't that advanced yet. For me this is the perfect scent however if you aren't really a big fan of sweet smells then its probably not the best. However i've been loving this as it smells good, does the job and its a great price. I believe I bought this from Superdrug on sale for 99p but other shops may vary.
