The Philippines

On the news very recently, there has been a lot of talk about typhoons in the Philippines. This has saddened me very much as I personally visited the Philippines on a missionary in 2012. I have a big heart for the Philippines and my trip was a once in a lifetime experience. To show you more I have attached a video I made last year of my trip. I hope you enjoy the video and please pray for everyone who was in the Typhoon.

Lots of Love

How To: Style Different Red Lipsticks

I don't know about you but I never know when it is appropriate to wear red lipstick. I never know if it will make my outfit too dressy or if it will go with my outfit. Red lipstick is my absolute favourite and there isn't just one shade of red!!

My mother always tells me off when I buy a new lipstick...
Mum: You already have a red lipstick
Me: BUT ITS DIFFERENT!!!!

anyway here are a few examples of how I style red lips.

Things to bare in mind in advance

  • I am not a model so I look dreadful!
  • The extreme close-ups of my lips makes my lips look awful and that I havent applied it properly, its just because I have strange shape lips and i'm not a makeup artist
enjoy.

Dressy/Night Out
Maybeline Colour Sensational Lipstick in 530 Fatal Red- £7.19 (Superdrug)

Sorry for the bad application

Dress- River Island

Dressy/Night Out
For a dressy/night out I would use this lipstick from Maybeline. I like it as it is not completed matte however stays on for hours. It has a lovely shimmer and look good on all ages. I feel it will also suit all skin colours and its not too expensive.  The colour is also rather beautiful.

Gothic/Dark
Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick in 107- £5.50 (Tesco)

Shirt- New look £17.99
Black Jeggins- New look
Gothic/Dark
You are properly thinking "Gothic? This isn't gothic!". However I am extremely fair so being fully gothic would look awful. I love this look so much, I think its great for people like me who are very pale. I mentioned this lipstick in my september favourites because I love it that much! It also has a lovely red tint in it and I love red so I love this lipstick. I would avoid this lipstick if you have really dark skin because it may not look to good. I also absolutely love this shirt, well I love shirts in general and usually I don't suit black however I like this.

Casual/Everyday

Mac Lipstick in Russian Red- £15.00

Not a very good picture
Dress- Next
Cardigan- Primark (£6)
Casual/ Everyday
This is one of my favourite looks to wear. Although I do find it hard to put red lipstick with a casual outfit because I am always scared of looking like a clown. Anyway I love this lipstick, possibly one of my favourites. It suits most skin types and looks fabulous on everyone. I feel this lipstick goes really nicely with my hair and makes me feel happy (I am so weird). This lipstick is completely matte so I recommend if you have quite dry lips then apply a lip balm before application.

Cherry Red Lipstick
Mac Lipstick in So Chaud- £15.00

Shirt- New Look
Jeans- River Island
Cherry Red Lipstick/Bright Lipstick
I love bright lipstick however I hardly wear it because i'm so scared of it. I really like this one by mac as it has a slight orange tint to it. I feel this lipstick would mainly suit people with blonde hair. I really love this outfit, I wear it all the time... quite literally.

Top 3 Drugstore Foundations

I don't know about you but I can't always afford to splurge out on a high end foundation. I mean I treat myself once in a while but i'm a teenager ,we never have money as we keep spending it! So I thought it would be handy to share my top three drugstore (low-end/ cheaper) foundations. Hope you enjoy.

P.s Please avoid how messy the bottles are, I'm a messy person... oops

Bourjois- Healthy Mix Serum- £10.99
I bought this foundation as it was recommended by lots of my favourite youtubers. I am very pale so I have the lightest shade which is 51- Light Vanilla (how embarrassing). Its nice as it is a low coverage foundation but still covers blemishes and imperfections. It also has a beautiful dewy finish and is really nice for school as you have some coverage but its not cakey!

LO'real- True Match Foundation- £9.99
I bought this foundation as I saw my friend Emily using a LO'real one which looked really good. So I went to boots and bought this. However hers was a completely different one...oops. But I am in love with this foundation! I am in the shade Rose Ivory. However at the moment this is slightly too light for my skin as I came back from holiday a month ago but I  still love it. I like it as they have a wide variety of shades, the coverage is fabulous and it doesn't look cakey! I think the price is fabulous as well.

Rimmel- Wake Me Up Foundation- £8.99
This foundation is the cheapest of the three however it is lovely! I did mention this in my last blog post but its only because I can't stop raving about it. My shade is 100 Ivory, I have to really blend this in as sometimes it can look orangey. I love this foundation as it has a fantastic dewy finish (some people don't like a dewy finish, but I do). I also love the fact that it makes you look so much more awake than you actually are. It makes you have a radiant glow.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, See ya soooon!

September Favourites

WHERE DID SEPTEMBER GO?!?!  So I know its already october however I felt a urgent need to do this... September was a fabulous month and i'm so glad its finally autumn.
So I haven't bought many beauty products in September but I've used a lot of old products so I hope you enjoy.

Rimmel- Wake Me Up Foundation
When I first tried this a couple of months ago I HATED IT! I thought it looked too orange on my skin, I thought it took ages to blend in and I just thought it looked horrible. However since school has started i've been in love with it. It literally says what it does on the tin (bottle?), it wakes you up, it makes me look so much more awake then I actually am. I also love the dewy finish! I highly recommend it.

Urban Decay- Naked 2 Pallette
This product is extremely hyped and I love it. I often wear  eye shadow however since I purchased this I use it everyday.. oops. I am also not a fan of bright colours on my eyelids so this palette is perfect. Since its autumn now i've used it a lot for a smokey eye!

Paco Rabanne- Lady Million
I've re-purchased this several times and Its my favourite perfume. I just adore the smell of it and have been wearing it all month (oops). A lot of people have complimented me wearing it, which is always nice.

Urban Decay- Primer Potion
I firstly bought this product back in 2012 when a man on the counter persuaded me. However he told me to buy the brown coloured one so I didn't use it that much. I then bought the normal one a couple of months ago and have been in love ever since! I highly recommend it as it makes your eyeshadow stay on and its just amazing.

Maybeline Baby Lips- Cherry Me
If you have read my blog before (it wouldn't surprise me if you hadn't) then you would know that last week I posted a review of these bad boys. I am absolutely in love with them (how many times have I said I'm in love with something in this blog post?). They are so hydrated and gorgeous AHHHHH. My favourite is this one, cherry me. They are so perfect for your pencil case, school bag, handbag, makeup bag, pocket and JUST EVERYTHING!

 Mac- Russian Red
If you don't know mac lipsticks are my favourites and this one is one of my favourites. I wear this all the time and I feel its the perfect shade. I highly recommend it.

Rimmel- Kate Moss lipstick in 107
This lipstick is very loved on youtube and in the blogging community. I personally am in love with it. I love the fact its dark but not too dark where it makes you look a bit gothic. Its the perfect shade for autumn.

Tangle Teezer
I bought this last year after I got a hairbrush stuck in my hair (I am not even lying).
This was highly annoying as I had to cut it out :(. Anyway after this traumatic experience a friend recommended a Tangle Teezer. As my hair is extremely knotty this was perfect and of course I use it everyday and can't realise use another hairbrush.
High Beam- Benefit
I love highlighters, I feel they can really brighten up your face. This one is one of my favourites, I first received it as a birthday present when I was around 14 (i've re-purchased it since, don't worry). Ever since I fell in love with it.

Personal
September has been a rather happy month for me. It feels like all throughout september i've been organised and motivated, which is extremely rare for me! This month I have started sixth form and have started studying Media,Drama and RE in school (which I have highly enjoyed) and spontaneously started a evening photography class in my local college.

My father also blessed me with a new camera this month which I have highly enjoyed using (thanks Dad). I bought the Canon 700d which will be highly beneficial for videos, blogging and photography. I love the features on this new camera and am looking forward to using it.

I feel like this month I have been surrounded by positive people. I enjoyed going to visit my mothers parents/my grandparents in the english country. I highly enjoyed going to the local village fair with my youngest cousin and it was great to spend time with them. I love my group of friends in school and have enjoyed all of the parties that we've had this month. I have also treasured the last month with my older brother before he returns to University.

I am looking forward to October, I hope I am as happy and positive as I have been in September.

I don't have many photos from September however here are a just a few:

Thursday, 26 September 2013

I have been watching Bethany Mota's youtube videos for years. When watching her videos I noticed she's mentioned the Baby Lips lip balms several times. Back in June 2013 I went to Florida and picked up one of these lip balms and ever since have been obsessed. Recently they have started selling these lip balms in the UK and last friday I bought all six. I thought I would do a review on them.

The Price
In the UK these lip balms cost £2.99 each in Boots. I feel this price is extremely good for the quality of the balms. I know Boots have a lot of really good deals for example the other week these were "Buy One Get One Half Price".

Cherry Me
My favourite balm is the Cherry Me lip balm as I feel the flavour is lovely and it has a nice red pigment.
Hydrate
Intese Care

Mint Fresh

Peach Kiss

Pink Punch
Pink Punch is the only lip balm with a slight shimmer.

The Packaging
I think the packaging of these lip balms is  adorable. I feel like they are aiming for the right market and I feel that they are a such a good size so girls can put them in their handbags.

The Product
I love these lip balms as they keep my lips moisturised and the flavours are amazing! The only disappointing thing about this product is the pigmentation of these lip balms, they are a little bit pigmented but not that much.

Thank you very much for reading
